A musicologist and cultural historian with a specialization in gospel music, he has delivered lectures and workshops for universities, choirs, and institutions across Europe and the United States. His scholarly work extends beyond the classroom, with contributions to various music publications, including Más Jazz and World Groove.
His journey in gospel music began in his teenage years as a singer with the Gospel Living Water choir, a group with which he continues to collaborate in Spain. His passion for the genre led him to the United States, where he had the opportunity to learn from gospel legends like Edwin Hawkins. He became involved with the Music Arts Seminar, an organization now led by Donald Lawrence, serving as a delegate for a decade. Deeply influenced by the teachings of artists like Richard Smallwood and inspired by the legacy of many gospel pioneers, he founded the Gospel World platform in 2018, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of gospel music.
As a singer, he has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Donnie McClurkin, Lashun Pace, BeBe Winans, Beverly Crawford, Tonéx/B.Slade, Chrystal Rucker, Rodney Posey, and Anita Wilson. His work in music production and logistics includes organizing events featuring gospel luminaries like Donald Lawrence, Rusty Watson, Isaac Cates, Kevan Peabody, and Brittany Stewart.
His commitment to gospel music is evident in his dual roles as both a scholar and a performer, contributing to the global appreciation and understanding of this powerful genre.
