Born in Barcelona, he began his musical journey studying violin at the Conservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona until the age of 17, when he shifted his focus to Computer Engineering. It was during this time that he started directing a small choir at his church and joined the National Evangelical Symphony Orchestra for the “Espirituales 97” project, where he had his first meaningful encounter with the world of gospel music.
In 1999, he took the helm of the Barcelona Gospel Choir, which grew to 275 members by the year 2000. Since then, he has led various gospel groups, dedicating his life to this genre not only because of its profound impact on his life but also due to his faith, which deeply connects him to the message of gospel music. Twenty-five years of directing gospel choirs is a testament to a life committed to this music.
Since 2001, he has combined his work as a choir director with musical direction in dubbing, adapting and directing the music for numerous films and series in both Catalan and Spanish. Currently, he leads the Gospel Soul Choir in Barcelona and the Gospel Beat Choir in Sant Cugat del Vallès. Additionally, he co-directs, alongside Ariadna Chevalley, the Vocal Groove Barcelona group, which will compete in the finals of the European gospel competition “How Sweet the Sound,” organized by Donald Lawrence, at the Royal Albert Hall in London this autumn.
